Twitter takes back AMP links from app

Twitter has silently cut back its support for Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) on mobile, according to a support website.

According a media report, the help page previously outlined how Twitter's mobile apps would automatically redirect visitors to the AMP version of a page from links shared on the social network.

However, starting October 21, Twitter has updated the page with a note stating that the feature would be phased down by the end of the year, according to the source.
