#TwitterChat: Responsible communication during a pandemic

COVID-19 pandemic death toll has reached 8000 globally, even as the number of infections has crossed 2 lakhs. As per latest reports, the positive cases in India are in the vicinity of 170. Even as Coronavirus fear has gripped the country, the Government of India has initiated a slew of communications and on ground measures to allay such fears and make Indians aware of the steps needed to be taken to keep themselves and their families safe.

Globally, the World Health Organisation has collaborated with social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter to fight misinformation.

At an organisational level, companies have temporarily asked their employees to work from home and maintain productivity levels. Brands have released standards and practices guidelines for employees to follow to reduce exposure to the virus infection.

Given the gravity of the situation, Adgully is organising a timely Twitter chat on Friday, 20th March on the topic - Responsible communication during COVID-19 crisis. As part of the discussions, industry experts will analyse the communications strategy of the government authorities and various other industry bodies as well as how effective they have been in increasing awareness of the people.

Brand strategists, communications experts, and media observers will join the Twitter chat between 3 pm and 4 pm to answer questions on the topic of discussion. Follow us on @adgully to be a part of the conversation.
