Uday Shankar joins Business Standard as non-executive Director

Former chairman and CEO of Star India and president of Walt Disney APAC, Uday Shankar has joined the board of Business Standard as non-executive director.

Shankar had stepped down from his roles at Star and Disney India and APAC at the end of 2020 and joined hands with James Murdoch's Lula Systems as a new venture to explore technology and media opportunities in emerging markets. Shankar was a television journalist before joining Star India in 2007.
