Unacademy, India's largest learning platform, today announced the acquisition of PrepLadder, a leading postgraduate medical entrance exam preparation platform for $50M. This acquisition will further strengthen Unacademy’s presence in medical entrance examination categories such as NEET PG and FMGE. As a part of its inorganic growth strategy, Unacademy had recently acquired Kreatryx and taken over the custodianship of CodeChef.

Started in 2016, PrepLadder specializes in medical examinations and provides access to education services and preparation material for exams such as NEET PG, AIIMS PG, NEET SS, and FMGE. Founded by Deepanshu Goyal, Vitul Goyal, and Sahil Goyal, the company was built with the vision to provide affordable and quality education to students preparing for postgraduate medical entrance exams across the country. Currently, PrepLadder has expert educators teaching over 85,000 active subscribers.

In the last 3 months, Unacademy has recorded a 100% increase in its paid subscriber base. With increased emphasis on online learning in recent times, the average daily watch time across Unacademy platforms has witnessed a steep increase of 100%. The monthly watch time minutes has also reached an all-time high of over 1 billion. Additionally, over 525,000 learners attempted various mock tests on the platform for competitive examinations such as UPSC, NEET-PG, and CAT among others during this period. 

Unacademy aims to bring quality education to all Learners by enabling them to learn from India's Top Educators. The platform currently has over 10,000 Educators, 30 million+ Learners, and caters to over 35 exam categories.
