Unilever decides to suspend exports, imports with Russia

After news of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia have broken out, British multinational consumer goods company Unilever, has become the first consumer goods company in Europe to suspend export and import operations with Russia.
Previously multinational gas and oil company Shell has declared the stoppage of the import of oil from Russia. Besides many other consumer brands have also reduced their operations and interactions with Russia. These include clothing & food retailer Marks & Spencer, digital fashion distributors Boohoo, ASOS.
The owners of Knorr soup and Dove soap, have also stated about the closure of additional investment as well as advertising and media spending in Russia. They also have informed that their operations in Ukraine have  come to an end.
Unilever has  informed that it will not profit out of the products which are made and sold in Russia, but will carry on with supplying them.
