Unwrap the food industry's deepest secrets with History TV18's food CIA

This Diwali HISTORY TV18 will take its viewers on an exciting gastronomical journey with the launch of FOOD CIA. Starting 20th Oct, every Monday to Friday at 8pm, the series will explore the provenance of food, employing simple, unbiased questions to procure answers to the trade secrets of the top food companies.

Reporters Matt Tebbutt, James Watt, Martin Dickie and Kate Quilton from the Consumer Investigation Agency (CIA) travel the globe to explore the secrets behind mass-produced food. They will be seen meeting technicians, scientists, factory owners, growers and producers to find out exactly what goes into the everyday groceries that end up on the supermarket shelves. From "fresh" minced meat that has been deep-frozen for three years to "traditional" Italian pasta made with the push of a button, the issues the investigators raise are sometimes simple and hilarious, but the answers are always shocking and thought-provoking.

Beginning at the Food CIA HQ, the presenters will travel the world to find answers to a range of popular queries about modern food production.
