UPA - II completes two years in the business; NewsX unveils CVoter survey!

Even as the UPA government presented its report card after completing two years in power on Sunday, the 22nd Of May 2011, the people of India have said that they perceive the UPA as the most corrupt government that the nation has ever seen. In a comprehensive NewsX- CVoter survey on the government's performance over the last two years, almost half the respondents surveyed said that the UPA coalition at the centre has been 'more corrupt' than all previous Indian governments. From 2G to CWG, the spate of scams that have come to light in recent months have significantly tarnished the image of the UPA government. Needless to say, the anti-corruption crusade led by Gandhian activist Anna Hazare has also added requisite fuel to the fire. The scams and the resultant anti-graft crusade for the Lokpal Bill has in fact considerably weakened the UPA's traditional 'aam aadmi' poll-plank.

An overwhelming majority (almost 66%) of respondents today believe that the UPA government has not tended to the aam aadmi seriously,
