Vaz Becomes Business Head for Star Hindi GEC channels too!

Star India recently announced elevation of two of its employees.

Kevin Vaz, India Business Head - English cluster would now also handle Star TV’s Hindi GEC channels – Star Plus and Life OK. Channels already in his kitty include English GEC channels like FX, Fox Crime, Star World, Star World HD, Star World Premiere HD, Star Movies, Star Movies Action along with Bengali cluster channels like Star Jalsha and Jalsha Movies. Vaz joined in mid-1990’s and was heading the ad sales department prior being elevated to Business Head position. He was given additional responsibility of Channel V this year following the exit of Prem Kamath.

At the same time, Gaurav Banerjee, Executive VP – Content Strategy has now been promoted to Deputy Creative Officer – Content Studio. Apart from Star Plus, Banerjee who was elected by his mentor and Star India CEO Uday Shankar in the year 2008, had also handled Life Ok for a brief time prior to his current responsibilities.
