Vh1 Supersonic announces Major Lazer as The First Headline Artist in its Super line-up

Promising the biggest ever musical extravaganza, LIVE Viacom18’s marquee property Vh1 Supersonic, is all geared to enthrall music lovers with the most powerful and diverse line-up ever, for its 5^th edition. The festival that has persistently seen extraordinary headline acts is set for an unforgettable experience with an artist that has created back to back super hits across genres gaining fans all across the world – Major Lazer, as its first headline act of the 2018 edition of Vh1 Supersonic.

Dropping a massive bomb with the first headline act announcement, Vh1 Supersonic has surely set up a high anticipation for the several reveals slated for the coming months. Following the transformational journey that the festival started in its previous year, Vh1 Supersonic aims to bring international music legends across multiple music genres, and set up an experience that every festival goer will remember for a life time!

Major Lazer, the world renowned project by DJ-music producer Diplo, DJ Jillionaire and DJ Walshy Fire, is famous for bringing their outstanding fusion of Caribbean and American music to dance floors across the world. Their sophisticated blend of genres mixing Trinidadian soca, Jamaican reggae, American hip-hop and dance music have won millions of hearts over the past ten years. Belting out  smash hits like Lean on, Cold Water, Run Up, Light It Up  and many more, the trio have collaborated with some of the best and celebrated artists all across the world like Beyonce, Justin Beiber, Ariana Grande, Pharrell Williams to name a few. Their unconventional visual artistry and theatrical stage tactics have made them the one of the biggest musical acts in the world.
