Vh1 to celebrate India's musical diversity this Independence Day

India is known as a melting pot of cultural diversity. The striking difference manifests itself in not only the culture and lifestyle of people but also in the music produced across the country. From Indie Pop, Rock & Hip Hop, India has seamlessly moved towards Jazz and Fusion musicians as well. The origin of Rock music in India can be credited to international artists like The Beatles, who brought their music here and collaborated with renowned musicians like Ustad Zakir Hussain and Late Pt. Ravi Shankar which also led to the development of Raga Rock.
