Vh1 to live telecast '56th Annual GRAMMY Awards' Live

Vh1, is hosting the 71st Golden Globe Awards presented by Garnier Men powered by Micromax and the iconic 56thAnnual GRAMMY Awards, presented by Micromax and powered by Nescafe this January. While the prestigious Golden Globe Awards will be aired LIVE on January 13, 2014 at 6:30 am, The GRAMMY Awards® will go LIVE on the channel on January 27, 2014 at 6:30 am with a prime time repeat at 9 pm. From all the glitz and glamour to enthralling performances, Vh1 promises to give its viewers, unlimited fun and entertaining moments!

This year the GRAMMY Awards®will be hosted yet again by America’s most favorite rapper, entrepreneur and actor; LL Cool J! Making a rare TV appearance after 2008 will be Daft Punk. The electronic duo is all set to make it a stellar performance as they team up with the legendary Stevie Wonder! That’s not all; there are many more performances to look out for as Katy Perry, Lorde, Metallica, Pink, Nate Ruess, Merle Haggard, Blake Shelton, Imagine Dragons and Kendrick Lamar set the mood for the evening with their scintillating music tracks and sensational performances.

The 56thAnnual GRAMMY Awards® will be promoted across the country through a 360 degree promotional initiative with exciting on-air, on-ground and digital activities. The channel is giving fans a chance to win Micromax mobile phones personally autographed by the heartthrob of Hollywood, Hugh Jackman, through the Micromax presents Vh1 Grammy Predict and Win Contest. Popular designer duo Shivan and Narresh will style the winner Shreyasi Bhattacharya from Delhi exclusively for the award ceremony. She’s a medical student and a committed fan of the Grammys.

The channel will air Vh1 GRAMMY® Hall of Fame starting January 6 - 15, 2014 every Friday at 7 pm, which takes you back in time with some of the greatest records / moments in GRAMMY® history by featuring some of the music videos by these GRAMMY® winners. The audience will also get to see the GRAMMY® Nominees Special 2014” starting from January 16, 2014 Monday to Friday at 7 pm, highlighting the nominated music videos and tracks of the year. Also, as a part of the off-air campaign, ‘History is made when Records are Broken’, Vh1 has partnered with CCD, Gelato, TGIF, HRC, Crossword, Gold’s Gyms and Big Cinemas amongst others.  To participate, customers will need to undertake various challenges at one of these outlets and send a video of them performing a feat. Lucky winners will get a customized ‘Grammy special GOLD LP (vinyl record)’ designed by Vh1.
