Video Exclusive: The ads that stood out this week

Continuing with Adgully’s weekly feature, we turn the spotlight on the ad campaigns that stood out from the myriad campaigns that hit various media platforms. While most whizz by on our screens, there are some that force us to sit back and take notice – by their sheer creativity, presentation, theme, and message.

We welcome your suggestions and invite you to send in your observations on campaigns that caught your attention.

Switch Off by Vivo India

Conceptualised by Dentsu Webchutney. In an emotionally captured video starring Aamir Khan, vivo intends to showcase how smartphone users fail to interact with their surroundings due to continuous mobile usage. The recent vivo-CMR study “Smartphone and their impact on human relationships” revealed that more than 95% of smartphone users have only virtual conversations with friends and relatives/ meeting them perhaps once a month.

Fastrack

Conceptualised by Lowe Lintas, the film opens with a young boy seen leaving his house. His pretty neighbour walks by at the same time; they seem to lock eyes, and his heart starts to race. The Reflex Beat band complements the jump in his heart rate. Suddenly, he sees his four-legged neighbour, and guns for him instead. As he turns his attention to the dog, the heart rate indicator on his Reflex Beat band jumps further.

Vice Media - 8 bit journalism

On August 5, 2019, Article 370 giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir was revoked. This was followed by a complete communication blackout leaving the youth of Kashmir in a state of complete information darkness. Vice Media along with Dentsu Webchutney decided to change that.

Ghar Ka Khaana, Saath Mein Thoda Swiggy!

Conceptualized in partnership with Lowe Lintas, the ad campaign focuses on how consumers can complement their favorite food made at home with food they love ordered on Swiggy to elevate their meals.

Kotak Life #PooraPlan
