Video Exclusive: Vikram Bhatt on his digital vision

Ace director-producer-writer Vikram Bhatt is upbeat about his new digital venture – VBontheweb. Launched in February this year, VBontheweb brings forth Theatre on the Web, a concept where one pays only for the premium show one wishes to binge watch. Touted as India’s first OTT platform to promote the concept of bringing cinema to the mobile phone with its unique subscription model, the app was launched on the platform hosted by Brightcove, one of the pioneers of online video streaming, and has been developed by Ecreeds. 

Original series ‘Untouchables’, a courtroom drama inspired by real life events, is the first offering from VBontheweb. Other shows on offer include ‘Maya 2’, ‘Twisted 2’, ‘Rain’, ‘Tantra’, and ‘Hadh’, which can be viewed free of cost. Users can buy a pass to watch a show/ entire series for just Rs 18. This is the first time in India that viewers would get to pay for particular shows only which they desire to watch and not the entire application.
