Vikatan group launches a new product
Vikatan group has been in the forefront to launch new verticals. It is the only Women’s magazine which gives out a 30 Recipe booklet with every issue of Aval Vikatan. The content is dedicated within the issue on Food, restaurant review. The feedback has been quite positive from readers via HELLO VIKATAN on these sections. Interestingly, some readers have collected all the recipe booklets.
Even advertisers have been very active from this industry (Ready to cook, Masalas etc). There new players coming into TN market, all the more reasons to have AVAL KITCHEN in their portfolio. Now the team has decided to offer them a niche platform to advertise at an attractive price point. To reach out to a larger audience they have Aval Vikatan and Ananda Vikatan.
Their very first issue has an Associate Presenting Sponsor ‘KRBL LTD’, (India Gate Basmati Rice). Other advertisers like Shakthi Masala, Anantha Cooker, Avani Kitchens etc. also within the issue.
When asked about the TG, Pravin Menon national head, ad sales said,”The TG for this magazine is anyone who loves COOKING, be it male or female, young or old.”
For information and records, it’s a 128 page issue around 100 recipes have been featured. It has a very interesting mix of recipes. It is priced at Rs.60 per copy.
On asking about the content, he said, “We have recipes, FAQ for cooking, products available, about chef and his special recipe, exclusive content some specialist …it has everything to do with cooking.”
As always they have a robust plan for promoting their new products. Menon says, “We will promote this across all our magazines and do poster campaign at point of purchase across TN. All our magazines are digitally available.”
Aval Kitchen also will be promoted viaVikatan.com (where they have nearly 1 lac paid subscribers and more than 10 lac registered users) and Facebook (where they have more than 2,00,000 fans) to ensure download and purchase.
