Viral post praises powerful social impact of Paytm in India

As a pioneer of mobile and QR payments, Paytm has been at the forefront of India’s transformation into a cashless economy. While Paytm’s leadership in payments and financial services is well-known, the company’s social impact is one that shines through. The fintech giant has touched everyday lives in a deep and meaningful way. This was highlighted in a LinkedIn post by Gouthami TS, Founder of Aeronuts India. 

In the post, Gouthami narrates her experience while she was out to pick up dinner when a man came to her and offered prasad. After giving her the prasad the man asked for dakshina (donation). When she told him that she didn’t have cash, the man asked her to ‘Paytm’ the money. Praising the powerful social impact that Paytm has made in the country “over years of struggles” in making people’s lives better, Gouthami goes on to say,”This post is to celebrate the social impact each sector is striving to make”.

Gouthami TS’ post: “The power of social Impact. Today while I was riding back to home from the office, I had to stop to pick-up the dinner.. I was on phone suddenly a man came and offered me "prasada", for a second I was very confused about receiving it. He made sure to give me.

To receive it I kept my phone in and said thank you with a gentle smile. He said - " don't you give dakshine to God" I said, I don't have cash, I'm sorry. He said "Paytm kardo" bhagwan ko diya toa vapas double milega, Dhana karna chahiye

The words were very powerful and what's more powerful is the social Impact Paytm  has made over years of struggle.

Years back " I don't have change " was a standard excuse to many people to not spare any money on such things but now things have drastically changed and making lives better.

Is it good to ask money or not? I'm no one to answer that, each of us own our own perspective towards that and I'll leave it to each individual.

This post is to celebrate the social impact each sector is striving to make and let's all give our bit to this cause. 

Paytm has been committed to its aim of driving financial inclusion in the country by bringing half a billion unserved and underserved Indians in the mainstream economy. Mobile payments have become synonymous with Paytm and its soundbox and QR codes are ubiquitous whether at small vendors or big showrooms.
