Vivek Sharma quits Pidilite as the CMO

Vivek Sharma, the CMO of Pidilite Industries, has quit it after serving the organisation for more than seven years. He informed about his decision to the world in Linkedin. He said: “More than 7 years of journey at Pidilite Industries with 6000 appreciable colleagues and working for 7 iconic brands has ended but the bond with Pidilite will never end. Throughout these years, I have experienced an amazing journey where I have learnt a lot and want to thank my colleagues, seniors, agency partners. Pidilite has an expertise in the area of brand building, innovation, and strategic management to operate in the VUCA world. I wish Pidilite family continues having the success they have always experienced”.
Vivek’s responsibilities as the CMO included corporate brand building, marketing, strategic planning, execution, talent management, new product launch, transformation and innovation.
With more than 25 years of experience of working across various industries including consumer durables, FMCG, lighting, healthcare surrounding B2C, B2B and B2G, he has hold senior leadership positions at Ogilvy Advertising, Philips, Cadbury Kraft (Mondelez),  MIRC Electronics.
He laid the foundation of ‘ONE PHILIPS’ as the VP of Philips India Ltd., and has managed the marketing process of the three business divisions of Philips –Healthcare, Consumer Lifestyle and Lighting. At MRIC Electronics Ltd (ONIDA) as the VP – Marketing, Sales and Service, he headed the re-launch of the ONIDA brand. He has also headed the HUL business at Ogilvy.
An alumnus of IIM Bangalore, he has done his Bachelor’s of Technology from Indian School of Mines (IIT Dhanbad).
