VIVO IPL Election Se Selection Fan Voting ends tonight: Have you voted yet?
In a first-of-its-kind election, cricket fans are casting their votes in the Star Sports’ IPLElection Se Selection campaign, picking their choicest players to play this season. The online voting contest which began on 15th January, 2018 has received an impressive response from fans across India.
Among the Star Players, Ben Stokes is emerging as the most favourite, voted in by fans for 7 out of 8 teams. Brendon McCullum is the top choice for Chennai Super Kings (26%) and Rajasthan Royals fans (46%). Ajinkya Rahane, who played for Rising Pune Supergiants team in Season 10, is emerging as the top choice for Delhi Daredevils (41%) andKings XI Punjab fans (22%). Royal Challengers Bangalore fans, on the other hand, have been voting for Chris Gayle to return to the team in this season of the league.
In the Uncapped Players category, Basil Thampi is emerging as the leading choice of fans from 7 out of 8 teams. Avesh Khan is garnering top votes from fans for Delhi Daredevils (38%) and Rajasthan Royals (53%).
The pool of players, for fan to choose from, includes two categories – 30 Star Players and 20 Uncapped Players. Voting closes midnight on 25th January, 2018.

With just 2 days to go for the much-awaited VIVO IPL 2018 Player Auction, the first glimpse of popular players can be seen in the fan selections. Fans can tune in to Star Sports network and Hotstar to watch the VIVO IPL 2018 Player Auction LIVE and find out whether their choices make the final team.
Star Sports begins the Vivo IPL Auction countdown with a curtain raiser on January 26 at 8:30 pm on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD. The Hindi telecast would be at 10 pm on Star Sports 1 Hindi and Star Sports 1 Hindi HD, and in Tamil on Star Sports 1 Tamil at 10 pm. The special show would preview the expected happenings at the Vivo IPL Auction 2018 along with Star Sports’ expert panel and would feature live inputs from the team owners’ meetings and the auction venue in Bangalore.
