Wakefit.co partners with corporates to adopt healthier habits

One of India’s largest D2C sleep and home solutions companies, Wakefit.coannounced its collaboration efforts with various corporates such as Toshiba, Carrier Midea, JBM, Antworks, NetCarrot and Transsion, to bring the spotlight on rest and well-being among corporate professionals. The company has been conducting extensive corporate training sessions centred on wellness and employee health for medium to large organizations over the last three months with the aim to create awareness on sleep, work life balance and also the link between mental health and sleep.

The corporate training sessions were first initiated in May 2021, amidst the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Over 20 sessions have been conducted so far by Wakefit.co’s L&D Head, Kushalappa A, in partnership with Akshay Agarwal, an external L&D professional. Through this initiative, Wakefit.co has touched the lives of over 1000 employees and the positive response garnered towards the initiative reiterates the challenges posed by the current work culture. It also showcases the need for structural changes to ensure a healthy talent pool and a more productive economy. Wakefit.co plans on expanding this initiative to reach out to more corporate professionals in order to create a movement around sleep, ergonomics, and health in the coming months.

The Wakefit.co webinar on sleep awareness and work-life balance was an eye-opener for many in the team. A lot of us have been struggling with the new normal of working from home over the past year, with erratic sleep and work cycles. The session was a gentle reminder of the small corrections we need to make in our daily routines to make an effective difference to our health!” said Sujoyta Ghosh, General Manager – Human Resources, DSS Imagetech and DSS Takara Bio India, about the virtual session conducted by Wakefit.co.

Talking about their new initiative, Parasar Sarma, VP - Growth, Wakefit.co, said, “As a company committed to delivering quality sleep and home solutions, we aim to focus on driving initiatives that help people adopt a healthier lifestyle.  Amidst the chaos of the global pandemic, rest seems to be one of  the most ignored aspects for most urban Indians, especially those working in the corporate sector. Erratic hours, shorter sleep cycles, and inadequate recreation on weekdays are followed by binge weekends, which can be rather harmful to one’s well being."

He added, "Since culture flows from the top, we made a strategic decision to work with leaders and launch corporate training sessions across various organizations, to ensure India Inc.’s ambitions are holistic and sustainable. Based on the initial response, we are confident that a slow but steady transformation is taking place.”

Wakefit.co’s live virtual sessions are empowering professionals to acknowledge and address tough conversations – whether it’s about the impact of work overload or the need for better work-rest balance – in the presence of peers and business leaders. “The sessions helped me feel more confident and stronger about focusing on priority tasks. It helped me understand how to approach important and unimportant matters,” said S.Vikram from Yojak.in after attending the session recently.

Since its inception in March 2016, Wakefit.co has launched several unique campaigns and initiatives to drive greater awareness about the impact of sleep and lifestyle choices on health. The Sleep Internship ProgramThe Nap Room Campaign, and OneIndiaOneWakefit are some notable examples of successful campaigns curated and executed by the Bengaluru-based sleep and home solutions company in order to drive meaningful conversations around sleep.
