Wakefit.co ropes in Cyrus Broacha and Mallika Dua to handpick finalists

When Wakefit.co, India’s largest sleep solutions company, announced its one-of-a-kind internship programme - The Wakefit Sleep Internship - the response was phenomenal. The applications poured in not just from all corners of India – Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Jabalpur – but also from the US, Indonesia, Canada, Italy, France, Venezuela and Malaysia – making it one of the most viral campaigns in India and one of the most applied to jobs on LinkedIn. And social media was agog with fascinating discussions about the #DreamJob that offered INR one lakh for sleeping in the comfort of homes for 100 nights!

After having diligently screened each of the 1.65 lakh applications received since 26th November 2019, Wakefit.co has shortlisted 99 candidates for the final round of interviews, scheduled from 10 am on February 09, 2020 in Bengaluru. Cyrus Broacha, Mallika Dua, Shivankit Singh Parihar and Naveen Kaushik have come on board for the formidable task of picking the best candidates for Wakefit.co’s coveted Sleep Internship.

Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Co-founder and Director, Wakefit.co, said, “We are thrilled to have Cyrus Broacha, Mallika Dua, Shivankit Singh Parihar and Naveen Kaushik as judges to help us find our dream sleep interns. The idea behind this interview is to make sure that the selected candidates are as passionate about sleep as we are and have the right skills to sleep optimally for nine hours a night for 100 nights and improve their sleep health. Honestly, the overwhelming response to our sleep internship programme was a pleasant surprise. We received applications from 30 countries and close to 1500 candidates sent us video resumes in the second round. The conversations have been truly engaging and enlightening. As a sleep solutions company, our motto is to inspire people to sleep better. And this internship programme is a small step in that direction.”

On Sunday, February 09, the interviews are scheduled to take place with two panels, each with two celebrity judges. RJ Prithvi will keep the rest of the contestants creatively occupied with games and fun activities, while they wait for their rendezvous with the judges. The interviews are expected to be quirky – look at the judges – yet grilling in terms of the sleep knowledge that candidates have.

The selected candidates will undergo curated sleep counselling sessions before embarking on the internship programme that promises a compensation of INR one lakh to venture off to the land of Nod for nine hours every night for a period of 100 nights.

Since its inception in March 2016, Wakefit.co has been creating innovative and disruptive sleep products.
