We are going to see a lot of social commerce in the year ahead: Rubeena Singh

The year 2023 is seen as bringing in new operational efficiencies, stronger strategies, a far greater emphasis on building deep bonds with various stakeholders and consumers. In keeping with the current market ecosystem, technology and a human approach are seen as going hand in hand.

As part of our annual Trending Now series, Adgully has approached key industry leaders to Crystal Gaze into 2023 to highlight the major trends and developments that they see dominating the industry in the year ahead.

Rubeena Singh, Country Manager India & MENA, AnyMind Group, tracks the growth of influencer marketing in the year ahead, the growth of social commerce, D2C commerce for creators, and more.

Key influencer marketing trends in 2023

Singh believes that influencer marketing is going to grow not just this year, but more years to come. “But within that the trends we are seeing is more micro nano influencers growing. Commerce is growing to create commerce – while brands are currently using influencers for branding, I think it is going to create social commerce,” she added.

Singh also believed that creators are going to launch their lines, their brands, their products, which eventually they will start selling on social media. “So, a lot of social commerce is what we are going to see in the coming year,” she said.

Major expectations and focus areas

Singh stated that she was lucky to be working with AnyMind, a company which is in the middle of all the growth trends – whether it is gaming or influencer marketing or D2C commerce for creators or enterprise. “It is phenomenally growing. I think all these beats are growing tremendously and I hope we are able to capture the lion’s share of that growth for ourselves,” she emphasised.
