Webinar: Fortifying the post COVID-19 marketing gameplan in Tier 2 & 3 towns
With lots of disruptions over the last 2 months of lockdown, consumer purchases haven’t been what they used to be – brand loyalties were set aside, local brands got a chance to score against large established brands and against the unorganised sector. With a large majority of Tier 2 and 3 towns not getting as badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as much as the top metros, it is highly likely that India’s economic recovery may well be led by these small towns.
In such a situation, it would be interesting to see how the large national brands stand up to the challenges of picking up market share that they may have lost during the lockdown. Equally interesting would be to see the strategy employed by local brands which have been sampled and have tasted a bit of success so far.
At the same time, we’re seeing that the demand and consumption of news has been at an all-time high. All major newspapers have also come together to fight the menace of fake news and have rallied millions of readers towards newspapers – their anchors of trust, for the most authentic news on COVID-19.
