Weekend Exclusive | Radio mirchi's RJ Anmol: Unplugged and unleashed!

He may be wearing "Purani Jeans" but that didn't stop RJ Anmol from sneaking his way into the hearts of his many listeners. His story begins like most fairytales with young love. The difference being the Knight in shining armour in his fairytale was his fair maiden.

Destiny some how always has a hand in shaping your future. Eight years ago, Anmol who was studying advertising didn't know that giving a simple audition for All India Radio would change his life. It took him to Dubai and eventually brought him back to his India.

RJ Anmol has always liked contemporary music but his radio show has helped him find his place amongst the greatest musicians of all time. He expresses, "this is where I always wanted to be."

Speaking on the evolution of Indian music over years Anmol shares that even though we have evolved technically we have lost the most important part of music which is melody. According to him few contemporary songs like Peelu from Once Upon A Time In Mumbai and Sajda from My Name Is Khan have the potential to become classics someday.

A piece of advice for aspiring RJ's ' do not get into it because RJ Anmol doesn't like the competition! Jokes apart, he is extremely thankful to his listeners as he claims that they are the best thing that has happened to him so much so that he feels like Shahrukh Khan.
