WhatsApp launches new desktop app for Windows PC

WhatsApp has introduced a new desktop app for Windows PCs. The new WhatsApp app for Windows, available on the Microsoft store, offers another way for users to login to their Whatsapp chats through their PC, in ways which are more streamlined and integrated. Whatsapp has explained: “Our browser based app which is Whatsapp Web and our web based desktop app which is Whatsapp Dekstop, have been used by our Whatsapp Dekstop users. We are on the process of developing apps which are native to Mac operating systems and to Windows, since we are everytime trying to better the Whatsapp experience for our users”.
According to WhatsApp, the newly introduced native Whatsapp app will offer accelerated speed and reliability, while easing the way out for more consolidated notifications, improved design which best matches desktop systems.
This will help users keep a track record of their social involvements or engagements in one place and for brands to centralize their customer service efforts with the accessibility of all the key platforms used by them from their integral workstation.
Nowadays people are less interested in public engagement through social media platforms, which makes it important to connect through DMs for brands to optimize ROI and conversion. WhatsApp also has informed about the development of a native Mac version of the app.
