WhatsApp to Retain functions for all users in India

WhatsApp will finally retain its functions for all the users in India, according to the media reports. This will be done till India's Personal Data Protection becomes the law.

Even if the users donot accept this policy, the tech company will send them a nudge to do the same which allows it to share data relating to business transactions with the third party companies.

The company also noted that it will comply with the provisions of PDP bill whenever it comes into effect.

According to the reports, the PDP bill contains provisions relating to purpose limitation of data collection which may make the latest WhatsApp policy unviable in the country.

Earlier the company had warned the users that they will delete the accounts who misuse the functions of the application.
