Women are a constant source of inspiration: Designers Shantanu and Nikhil

New Designer-wear Pret Label KARMIK’s designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil, the creative heart and entrepreneurial mind, the winning combination of the brother duo, will be one of the fashion gurus on the popular show I Love Style coming soon on BIG CBS LOVE, the diva destination for women in India. The show will help the divas of today to understand what’s stylish and in fashion under the guidance and with tips from the well known fashion designers from the KARMIK pleothera of designers, who will share their years of understanding on what’s best for those fashion-conscious women. The show was launched from May 28th, on BIG CBS LOVE.

 

Young, trendy, stylish and for the vivacious, the brand Shantanu and Nikhil target audiences who are extrovert and effervescent, with a sense of chic and classiness. The duo, celebrating ‘10 years in fashion’ this year,  have dressed some of the best people in the world like leading sports personalities like Serena Williams, Glen McGrath, to Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan, Shahrukh Khan, Dia Mirza, among others. Their sophisticated designs go beyond the ramp to the field of cricket too. They have recently designed the highly popular Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils & Pune Warriors Jersey for the Indian Premier League (IPL) and more.

 

These daring designers were among the first to venture into redesigning an entire look for the Indian superstar, Amitabh Bachchan, for one of the seasons of Kaun Banega Crorepati, a look which took gaming on Indian television by storm.

 

They also designed a beautiful sari for Oprah Winfrey, on her recent visit to India, at the request of one of their star clients Sameera Reddy. The brand’s recent historic tie-up with sportswear giant Adidas makes them the only Indian designers in the world after Stella McCartney and Yohji Yamamoto to have collaborated on such a strategic alliance.

According to Shantanu & Nikhil, “The S&N woman is bold and glamorous and lives life in the same way. She does not simply wear our designs, she is not a mere canvas, but is a constant source of inspiration”.

 

Shantanu & Nikhil are one of the designers from Top 12 designers of the country who are part of the brand KARMIK, which is committed to providing ‘aspirational’ designer wear at ‘affordable’ prices making them ‘accessible’ all across the country. The other designers include Rohit Bal, Anamika Khanna, JJ Valaya, Rocky S, Gaurav Gupta, Abraham & Thakore, Ranna Gill, Rina Dhaka, Neeta Lulla and Kavita Bhartia, who will also be featured on the show in a special segment called KARMIK Stylicious!
