WPP merges Grey Paris into Ogilvy Paris

Ogilvy Paris and Grey Paris, two creative agencies from the WPP, have been merged since July 1, 2020. However, the two creative entities will maintain their separate brands. According to media reports, Grey’s team of 10 will be integrated into Ogilvy’s 500-strong workforce.

The development comes a little over a week after Andy Main was appointed as Global Chief Executive Officer of Ogilvy.

The leadership of the combined entity will comprise Emmanuel Ferry and Matthieu Elkaim, Co-presidents of Ogilvy Paris, who will be joined by Régis Boulanger and Romain Repellin, Creative Directors with Grey Paris.

This merger is a key development after WPP merged Wunderman and J. Walter Thompson to form Wunderman Thompson in November 2018 and created VMLY&R by uniting two leading brands – VML and Y&R two months prior to that. In October the same year, WPP also consolidated its health offering under VMLY&R, Ogilvy and Wunderman.
