Wrangler launches Pride Collection in India

Ace Turtle, Asia’s leading omnichannel platform for enterprise brands today announced the launch of iconic denim brand Wrangler’s Pride collection in India. Having acquired the long-term license for Wrangler in 2021, Ace Turtle is responsible for design, local sourcing and retailing of the brand in India.

In celebration of Pride, Wrangler has launched a capsule collection globally and renewed its partnership with ILGA World, a global federation which campaigns for LGBTQIA+ civil rights. For 75 years, Wrangler has celebrated love and the spirit of living your authentic self.

The 2022 Wrangler Pride summer capsule collection features the iconic rainbow – the inspiring unifying symbol of LGBTQIA+ pride and equality, and a motif that Wrangler has used since the 1970s. Black hooded T shirts, Unisex tank tops and T-shirts in black and white colour are part of this collection. These unisex garments feature Wrangler brand's iconic horse graphic, surrounded with an uplifting message of empowerment based on the original rainbow flag, designed by Gilbert Baker in 1978, with statements such as “love”, “healing” and “harmony”.

To further honour the importance of Pride month, Wrangler contributed to ILGA World to support their ongoing strive for a world where human rights of all are respected. ILGA endeavours for a world where freedom is assured regardless of people's sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions and sex characteristics.

Commenting on the launch, Lokesh Kataria, Chief Marketing Officer - Lee & Wrangler at Ace Turtle said, “In line with Wrangler’s commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity globally, we are excited to launch the iconic brand’s Pride collection in India. The collection is earmarked to support the LGBTQIA+ community and their ongoing strive for a world where human rights of all are respected equally. It is an eclectic mix of global and Indian collections in tune with the Spring-Summer season and is available for our customers on the webstore (www.wrangler.in) along with the physical retail stores across the country.”
