To get the most from watching NXT Takeover: London on WWE Network, here’s what you need to know about the breakout sensation that is WWE NXT.
1.    What is NXT?

Founded by WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul Levesque, NXT began in late 2012 as the innovative developmental brand of WWE. Based at the WWE Performance Centre in Florida, NXT airs a weekly show every Wednesday night on the WWE Network and tours across the US – with the UK being its first-ever international tour
2.    NXT is available on WWE Network at www.WWENetwork.com

WWE Network is the home of NXT, airing the main show every Wednesday alongside regular special live episodes, including NXT TakeOver: London live on Wednesday, 16 December. WWE Network offers more than 4,000 hours of on-demand content plus original programming, including a 24-hour streaming channel. WWE Network gives anyone instant access to all of NXT. All you need is the internet.
3.    NXT General Manager, William Regal

William Regal is a trained grappling machine, having honed his skill in the hardscrabble waterfront carnivals of his hometown of Blackpool, England. Part English gentleman, part Blackpool brawler, William Regal remains one of the most dignified and deadly WWE Superstars of all time. In August 2014, Regal was appointed the General Manager of NXT and he continues to be instrumental in the development of the brand.
4.    NXT Champion, Finn Bálor

A star in his homeland of Ireland, Bálor came up through the notoriously tough Japanese dojo systems, where he mastered hard, lightning-quick kicks and vicious submission holds. On July 4 2015, Bálor returned to where he first became a star to face Kevin Owens at Beast in the East: Live from Tokyo exclusively on WWE Network. Bálor was victorious and claimed the NXT Championship. He will again put his title on the line at NXT TakeOver: London when he faces Samoa Joe.
5.    NXT Women’s Champion, Bayley

NXT Women’s Champion Bayley has had a love affair with sports entertainment since she was an 11-year-old girl, and at age 18 she began training for her eventual pathway to NXT. She defeated Sasha Banks at a sold-out NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, shown live and exclusively on WWE Network, to capture the NXT Women’s Championship.
6.    NXT Tag Team Champions Dash & Dawson

Dash Wilder and his tag team partner, Scott Dawson, have declared themselves the best tag team on the planet, and are daring any team to try and take the titles away from them. They will face Enzo Amore and Collin Cassady at NXT TakeOver: London – which team will stand tall?
7.    NXT on Social Media

Social media plays a huge part in the continued success of NXT with over 666,000 followers of @WWENXT on Twitter and 3,000,000 likes on Facebook. Fans around the world engage with all the NXT stars each week as they watch content live and exclusively on the WWE Network.
8.    NXT TakeOver Brooklyn

Taking place on Saturday, 21 August 2015 at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn one day before SummerSlam, NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn saw a sold-out crowd and millions of viewers on the WWE Network around the world enjoy an intense and exciting show. Alongside Finn Balor defending his NXT Championship against Kevin Owens, the event also saw Bayley win the NXT Women’s Championship. The show also marked the in-ring debut of Apollo Crews.
9.    NXT Stars on a path to glory in the WWE Universe

A number of NXT Superstars have made the transition to the WWE main roster and are taking the WWE Universe by storm. These include Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens, Neville and current WWE Divas Champion, Charlotte. Perhaps the best known NXT graduate, and holder of the first NXT Championship, is Seth Rollins – who went all the way to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
10.  NXT TakeOver: London

NXT TakeOver: London will see the greatest NXT stars face off against each other in the ring at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London – including reigning NXT Champion Finn Balor defending his title against Samoa Joe and Apollo Crews versus Baron Corbin. London’s SSE Arena is completely sold out
