X-Files Franchise creator Chris Carter sparks rumours of another season after the revival series!

As the much anticipated revival series of the longest running TV show X-Files comes to an end, the finale episode will all but leave fans at peace. With major cliffhangers and edge of the seat climax sequences, the X-Files: Event Seriesends on a surprisingly abrupt note leading long-standing fans of the series charged up and hoping for another season!

But with all the rumours of the show coming back for another season, rife, the franchise creator Chris Carter himself took a step forward to indicate that it might just be true. The X-Files: Event Series finale airs this Saturday, February 27th at 9 PM only on Star World Premiere HD.

Speaking on whether he was okay if there were no movies or seasons or if the franchise ended on the note that the last episodeshapes up to become, Carter said, “I can tell you this: Fox owns this show. I can’t imagine, with the ratings that we’ve got and the way we ended this season, that there won’t be more X-Files. They will find a way to get that done. Because I spoke about it briefly with [Fox CEO] Dana Walden today, so there’s an appetite there and… a chance certainly to find how we’re going to get ourselves off this precipice.”

On being asked if there were any fan nods he couldn’t get into the revival series, Chris was quick to respond, “I think we put everything I could think of in there. But there are always things you want to do and are unable to. There is something, but I can’t remember what it is. I was lucky to put the Lone Gunmen back in. We had to bring one of the actors all the way from Australia to do it. So that’s a case of actually getting what you want.”

One of the very few finale episodes to have so many cliffhangers in the end, The X-Files: Event Series finale is sure to be the best, most fast-paced and the most thrilling edge of the seat episodes of the revival series.

P.S. Mulder and Cigarette Smoking Man finally confront each other in the finale episode.
