Xiaomi India sells 100 million smartphones in India

Xiaomi, India’s number one smartphone and smart TV brand today announced that it has shipped over 100 million smartphones in India in five years. This milestone has been achieved between Q3 2014 to July 2019 as per IDC 2019 reports.

Xiaomi is one of the fastest brands to achieve a 100 million mark within just five years of its existence. Redmi A series and Redmi Note series has been one of the most popular smartphones which have significantly contributed to this feat.

The brand also unveiled a joyous brand film to celebrate the occasion featuring several Xiaomi employees across corporate, logistics, warehouse, after sales. It is yet another feat which the brand is celebrating with its employees.

The new brand film is a visual delight that creatively illustrates the glorious milestone that Xiaomi has achieved. Brimming with joy and happiness, the film features Xiaomi employees, and senior executives including Manu Kumar Jain (Managing Director, Xiaomi India and Vice President, Xiaomi Global), Raghu Reddy  (Head of Online Sales and Categories), Manmohan Chandolu (General Manager, POCO India & Online Partner Sales Head, Xiaomi India), Rohit Ghalsasi (Category Manager - Audio, Xiaomi India) and several others rejoicing and dancing to the tunes of famous music track “This is gonna be the best day of my life” by popular rock band ‘American Authors’. It starts with Manu Jain announcing and congratulating the employees of the company on selling 100 million smartphones in India, followed by people across the floor, celebrating, dancing and singing together to commemorate the landmark achievement.  

The campaign has been conceptualised and executed by Xiaomi’s brand marketing team and McCann, the creative agency.
