Yanique Griffin Woodall gets in CVC Health comms team

Yanique Griffin- Woodall has joined CVS Health as VP of Communications and customer experience. She was previously with the Home Depot, where she has been working in several roles, for the last five years, including that of head of brand communications, retailer’s senior director of external affairs and corporate communications. During her tenure at the Home Depot, Griffin Woodall has played an instrumental role in strategising the messaging, in support of the organisation’s social, environmental, governance initiatives, community affairs and technology and product goals. Earlier Griffin-Woodall was VP of communications and PR at 1-800 Flowers. CVS Health Communication’s team is led by chief communications officer and SVP Kathryn Metcalfe. In August, Sally Montgomery was hired by CVS Health as senior director of CEO communications in order to provide support to Karen Lynch, chief executive, four months after placing Metcafe at its top comms position, thereby replacing Kym White. IBM SVP of digital sales was also appointed by CVS Health at the start of the year 2021 and CMO Michelle Peluso was hired as the chief customer officer. Metcafe and Griffin-Woodall were on the list PRWeek’s Power List, 2022. The analysts’ expectations for earnings in Q1 of the year 2022, was beaten by CVS, even with declining demand for vaccines for Covid, and testing measures. In the quarter, revenues increased by 11.2% to $76.8 billion and net income has raised to $2.3 billion by 4%.
