YourQuote launches its first-ever short film, Shagun

Marking yet another landmark in its ongoing success story, YourQuote, India’s fastest growing original user-generated content and digital community platform, has launched Shagun, the first-ever short film produced under its banner. Adapted for screen from a YourQuote micro story, Shagun marks an auspicious beginning for the platform’s foray into short film production and further underlines its vision of democratising content generation and consumption for the masses across cultural, linguistic, and geographical boundaries.

With another short film slated for release on April 10, YourQuote will be looking to curate and commission more hard-hitting, impactful stories from its platform and adapt it for the visual storytelling medium. The platform also plans to launch a nationwide filmmaking contest to help independent filmmakers across India discover film-worthy content and talent from within the YourQuote community.

Speaking on the launch, Harsh Snehanshu, Co-founder & CEO – YourQuote, said, “Given the highly-successful reception that our video content platform has received since its launch last month, venturing into short film production seemed like the most logical direction. Our aim is encourage indie filmmakers, especially those from a vernacular background, to broadcast their short films to our vast community of content creators and consumers, in addition to discovering talent from within it.”
