Youth Debates on TIMES NOW!

TIMES NOW, India's leading English News Channel breaks new barriers yet again with a path breaking youth centric series called "Youth Debates with Arnab Goswami'. With this initiative, TIMES NOW channelizes the power of the youth by making them share and debate their perspective on a host of issues giving them a much needed platform to voice their opinion.

This nationwide initiative by TIMES NOW kick started in Mumbai on July 30th, as three students from the city, were selected to debate on the topic "Does Politics Encourage Terror?' The students were given the opportunity to be part of a prestigious panel displaying affluent names from various walks of life with panelists like Anupam Kher; Mahesh Jethmalani; Prasoon Joshi; Teesta Setalvad and John Dayal. The debate was anchored by Arnab Goswami & the evening concluded with the topic being fiercely debated.

Madhooja Mulay from Ruparel Law College, Abhishek Sengupta representing the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and the representative from NM College Sanjana Govindarajan battled it out in a high profile debate putting forth their respective opinions. An overwhelming participation from young Students amongst the audience made the debate interactive and significant.

With the primary audience being the youth, a 360 degree marketing campaign was undertaken using print, digital, social media and radio at various touch points to promote this activity. Rigorous on-ground activations at colleges, cafes, malls and other youth hangouts were conducted to screen the aspiring candidates.
