Youtube Partner Program, is now 2 million creators strong

In its monetization program, video streaming giant YouTube has reached a milestone of two million creators. As part of the YouTube Partner Program, YouTube has paid out more than $30 billion to creators, artists, and media companies over the last three years (YPP).

The YouTube Partner Program (YPP) was established over fourteen years ago as a first-of-its-kind open monetization program, open to anyone who met the criteria. In fact, creators receive more than half of the revenue generated.

In terms of ad revenue, YouTube earned $7 billion in the second quarter of 2021, and the company claims it paid more to YouTube creators and partners than in any previous quarter. Reviewers look at the page's main theme, most viewed video, newest videos, the largest portion of the watch, and video metadata to see if a creator is eligible for the YPP, according to YouTube. In terms of numbers, creators must have a minimum of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of total watch time on their channel in the previous 12 months. YouTube claims to review and remove channels that do not follow its policies on a regular basis. Channels that violate the program's hate speech, harassment, and misinformation policies are removed.
