YouTube rolls out AI based technology for age restrictions

YouTube is rolling out more artificial intelligence-powered technology to catch more videos that may require age restrictions, which means more viewers will be asked to sign into their accounts to verify their age before watching.

According to media sources, YouTube, about 11 million videos were taken down between April and June this year and at least 320,000 were reinstated after appeals.

The rollout comes as YouTube tries to address global criticism from concerned parents groups and advocacy boards over the website being unsafe for children.
