Yum! realigns leadership for their brands in the India

Yum! Restaurants International, the world's largest restaurant company announced the realignment of leadership for their brands in the Indian subcontinent. Unnat Varma, Director of Marketing at KFC, who has been instrumental in building the iconic brand KFC in the last few years will move on to Taco Bell as the General Manager. Taco Bell, a QSR specializing in Mexican-style food was introduced in the country in early 2010 with the first store in Bangalore. In his new role, Unnat will provide strategic thought leadership to the expansion of Taco Bell in the Indian subcontinent and develop a scalable model for expansion.

In an effort to support the expansion plans and strengthen organization focus, a new brand vertical for PHD (Pizza Hut Delivery) has been created with a dedicated team. It will be headed by Ashok Bajpai who was earlier the GM at Taco Bell. Ashok has played a key role in establishing a strong foundation of Taco Bell for future expansion of the brand in India. In his new role, Ashok will bring forth his strong experience to establish PHD as a leading player in the home delivery segment in India.

Meanwhile, Dhruv Kaul, Business Head at PHD, will take over his new role as Head of Marketing at KFC. Dhruv has been the force behind the transformation of PHD into a strong unified brand with a both national presence and outstanding results in 2010. In his new avatar, he will continue to further strengthen and expand the brand KFC across the Indian subcontinent.

In the new roles, Ashok and Unnat will continue reporting to Niren Chaudhary ' MD at YRI India Subcontinent, while Dhruv will report to Sandeep Kataria ' CMO at YRI India Subcontinent.
