Zee Cinema – the world’s largest movie theatre for Hindi movies celebrates 15 years of Nayak- The Real Hero on 7th September, 2016 at 9 PM. The Hindi directorial debut of Shankar, Nayak- The Real Hero was a phenomenal success.

A lesser known fact is while preparing for his role as a journalist; Anil Kapoor attended a ten-day workshop with theatre director Feroz Khan and observed the nuances of well-known television anchors

like Prannoy Roy, Karan Thapar, Vir Sanghvi and Rajat Sharma.

The movie focuses on the political corruption and how nasty the power game can get. The plot revolves around TV reporter Shivaji Rao (Anil Kapoor) who in an interview blames the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Balraj Chauhan (Amrish Puri) for the riots in Mumbai. Furious, the corrupt politician challenges him to play the role a CM for a day to understand the difficulty of his role. Shivaji Rao accepts the challenge, only to change the face of the state. He fires all the corrupt government officials and gets Balraj Chauhan arrested, as he thinks he is the root cause of the state’s problems. What will this one-day CM’s fate be after his tenure gets over? Will Balraj Chauhan create havoc and ruin Rao’s image in front of the people?
