Zee Classic presents 'Mogambo khush hua!' - Mr. India on 31st January

Zee Classic with its core proposition ‘Woh Zamaana Kare Deewana’ is all set to showcase one of the most iconic films ‘Mr. India’ on Sunday, 31st January at 12 Noon. This cult classic boasts of Anil Kapoor’s flawless performance juggling between being visible and invisible.

Sridevi's brilliant coming timing, the famous Charlie Chaplin act and the Miss Hawa Hawaii dance will leave audiences in awe of the diva. Also, Amrish Puri’s portrayal of the most deadly villain and his quote ‘Mogambo khush hua’ continue to be appreciated even today.

One of the little known facts – the first choice for the role of Arun Verma or Mr. India was none other than the legendary Amitabh Bachchan due to his popular baritone. But finally, Anil Kapoor signed the film and it went on to become one of the ‘must watch films’ of Bollywood. Also, Aftab Shivdasani and choreographer Ahmed Khan were one among the several orphaned kids in the movie who later became popular names in the Hindi Film Industry.

Arun Verma (Anil Kapoor) is a musician with a cheerful disposition who looks after a houseful of adorable orphans. Unable to pay the rent of the house, he decides to lease one of the rooms to a quirky newspaper reporter, Seema Sohni (Sridevi). Later Arun comes across an invisibility gadget devised by his late father. Some goons at the command of their despotic boss, Mogambo (Amrish Puri) not only wish to acquire the invisibility gadget but also use it for reasons that will destroy India.

Arun learns about the terrorist activities of Mogambo and decides to use the gadget to eradicate Mogambo's army of criminals, transforming himself into Mr. India – The invisible avenger of people.
