Zee Media’s Q3 FY2022 revenues up 31.7% to Rs 2,428.1 mn

Zee Media Corporation Limited has reported a growth of 31.7% in its revenues for the third quarter ended December 31, 2022 to Rs 2,428.1 million, from Rs 1,843.9 million in Q3 FY2021. Operating expenditure increased by 33.9% to Rs 1,553.1 million in Q3 FY2022, from Rs 1,160.2 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. EBITDA increased by 28.0% to Rs 875.0 million in Q3 FY2022 from Rs 683.7 million in Q3 FY2021.

Zee Media’s consolidated revenues up to the third quarter of FY2021-22 stood at Rs 6,191.3 million, while the network incurred expenditure of Rs 4,240.7 million in the same period.

Digital News Portfolio

Zee Media’s Digital News Portfolio continues to witness rapid growth across the properties, with 17 brands in 11 languages, which have received 4.23 billion Page Views in Q3 FY2022 compared to 4.63 billion Page Views in Q2 FY2022. Monthly Average Users (MAUs) in Q3 FY2022 stood at 328 million vis-a-vis 367 million in Q2 FY2022.

Zee News has 658 million page views compared to 733 million page views in the previous quarter. MAUs also grew from 54.8 million in Q3 FY2022 to 54.5 million in Q2 FY2022.

Zee Biz grew by 9% to 97.0 million page views compared to 89.0 million page views in the previous quarter.

Wionews.com, the Global English news platform from Zee Media, grew 40% to 125.0 million-page views, compared to 89.0 million page views in the previous quarter. MAUs also grew from 8.2 million in Q3 FY2022 to 6.7 million in Q2 FY2022.

Zee Media has expanded its regional footprint in South India with the launch of four digital channels – viz. Zee Tamil News, Zee Telugu News, Zee Kannada News, and Zee Malayalam News on January 25, 2022.
