Zee News recognises best Indian health care practitioners

Zee News, India's premier 24-hour Hindi news channel, has announced the winners of 2nd "Swasth Bharat Samman". The award is a first-of-its-kind initiative to recognise and honour the best medical specialists in India. The winners were felicitated by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad at a gala ceremony held recently in Delhi.

The awards were presented in the presence of leading lights of the Indian healthcare community, leaders and representatives of private and government organisations, as well as policy makers and important luminaries from sectors affiliated to the industry.

Barun Das, CEO, Zee News Limited, said, "Swasth Bharat Samman aims at recognising the achievements of best Indian healthcare specialists who have undoubtedly extended the best infrastructural facilities, excellent in-house services to patients and have provided holistic care for the well-being of an individual".

He added, "The Indian healthcare industry is growing at a rapid pace and healthcare providers are now looking at ways to enhance overall patient experience, with improving operational efficiency. Zee News on its part is committed to highlight the achievements of the professionals who are doing great service to the nation by developing technologies to provide healthcare at nominal cost."

The jury for the award consisted of seven eminent personalities with impeccable record and unquestioned integrity. The members of jury were Dr PN Tandon, Dr K Srinath Reddy, Mrs Shailaja Chandra, Prof Rama Baru, Dr SH Advani, Dr P Venugopal and Dr Anoop Misra.
