Zee TV’s DID Li'l Masters’ Vartika Jha fulfills a dance dream of underprivileged kids

Over the last 3 decades, Zee TV has been instrumental in providing the country's young talent with a global platform to showcase their singing/ dancing/ acting talent. The channel’s most iconic dance reality show, Dance India Dance has not just introduced us to some truly exceptional dancers and never-seen-before dance styles but has also stood testimony to the sheer passion that India has towards dance. After giving the audiences a glimpse of this year’s mind-blowing talent through its arresting promos, Zee TV is all geared up to welcome another season of its popular dance reality show for kids - DID Li’l Masters. Dance India Dance Li’l Masters, Season 5 will premiere on 12th March and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 PM only on Zee TV!

Taking the entertainment quotient, a notch higher the judges’ trio- Remo, Sonali, and Mouni are now actively looking for the Top 15 Li’l Masters who will later be divided into three teams led by well-known choreographers - Paul Marshal, Vaibhav Ghuge, and Vartika Jha. Known as ‘Skippers’, this trio of dancing stars will further mentor the contestants and help them put their best foot forward during their journey on the show.

Taking the spirit of celebrating the passion for dance across the country and entering every little by-lane where a young boy and girl dreams of dancing their hearts out, Dance India Dance Li’l Masters has collaborated with GiveIndia, India's largest and most trusted giving platform, wherein skipper Vartika Jha conducted a dance workshop in Varanasi for almost 35 underprivileged kids of the NGO who have the passion for dance but hadn't yet found an outlet or avenue to celebrate their love for dance. She personally conducted a session paying special attention to each and every child, including specially-abled kids, so as to teach them expressions before their body movements. Each kid learnt something new about dance. They discovered the power of expression and celebrated the joy of dancing.

Talking about the collaboration, Sumit Tayal, COO, GiveIndia said, “GiveIndia is delighted to be associated with the popular dance show - Dance India Dance Li'l Masters. Children were deprived of such events for almost two years because of the pandemic. But with many restrictions now relaxed, we hope that kids from our partner NGOs will participate in vast numbers and learn the ropes of dancing from some of India’s best choreographers and enjoy themselves.”

Talking about her visit, Vartika said, “I am humbled by my experience with these kids. When I prepared for the session, I thought I was the teacher to these young children. But today, as I make my journey back to Mumbai and on the sets of DID Li’l Masters, I return as a new person with so much empathy, love, and respect for my art.” She further added, “The best part of the day was that I did not have to tell the kids, ‘Dance like no one’s watching’. They already were dancing with their souls. I felt like a kid again. We danced our hearts out and laughed like there’s no room for sorrow.”
