Zee TV to showcase the world television premiere of the critically acclaimed movie ‘Rustom’

This festive season, get ready to watch the year’s biggest blockbuster on television as Zee TV will showcase the world television premiere of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful ‘Rustom’ at 5 PM on Sunday, 16th October. Co-produced by Zee Studios, Rustom is a riveting thriller and courtroom drama starring superstar Akshay Kumar as the naval commander- Rustom Pavri. The film is about a husband’s struggle to uphold his wife’s self-respect. Superstar Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, who have worked together in Special 26 and Baby, have come together again for ‘Rustom’. Written by Vipul Rawal, the film is inspired from real-life incidents and set in the late '50s.  It also features Ileana D’Çruz as the leading lady, Esha Gupta in a grey role, Arjan Bajwa as a flamboyant playboy Vikram Makhija along with Sachin Khedekar, Pavan Malhotra, Kumud Mishra, Parmeet Sethi, Sharad Kelkar, Kanwaljit Singh and Brijendra Kala adding further depth to this strong ensemble cast. With its ensemble start cast, extraordinary performances and some chartbusting music, the movie is sure to entertain television audiences just as it appealed to every cine goer’s sensibilities.
