Zigly to ensure a happy experience for both pets and pet parents through an omni channel online and offline presence

Zigly is now successfully operating at 6 locations in Delhi-NCR. What has been the growth of Zigly in this one year of launch?

Within one year of its establishment, Zigly has registered a growth of 13X. In a year we have successfully established 6 experience centers that aim to provide premium pet care services to pets and pet owners. We have built Zigly as an omnichannel pet care brand. Today, Zigly serves more than 30,000 pets and pet owners through its website www.zigly.com and Zigly app. The brand has rapidly expanded its online presence throughout India. We are confident that we are moving towards remarkable progress and building customer trust, with a plan to grow by 10X in the second year.

 What are the expansion goals and pipeline projects of Zigly in near future?

India has over 20 million pet dogs and roughly 19 million other pets, making it the fastest-growing pet care market. The pet care sector has the potential to be a lucrative one for businesses in India. Our aggressive expansion plans involve reaching pet owners in the top 10 cities within the first two years. Zigly plans to open 120-150 stores and is looking at revenues close to 500 crores in the next five years. We will also physically expand our footprint beyond the Delhi-NCR region in all the major metropolitan cities of the country to service a higher market share and over the next 3-4 years we are also looking at overseas expansion plans.

 India lacks high-quality goods and services especially in the pet care sector. How does Zigly offer pet owners a premium pet care solution?

The pet care market in India has been primarily driven by unorganised players. Now that the sector is getting more attention, there are more chances for organised players to enter the market and take advantage of the soaring demand. At Zigly, we are conscious of the potential market gap and the issues that the majority of pet owners encounters. Therefore, we have ensured to have every pet care essential under one roof making Zigly, a one-stop shop for everything pet-related. In order to provide a simple yet satisfying experience for both pets and their owners, we have brought in all from pet supplies, be it toys, food, health, or accessories to pet clothes, grooming, and vet consultation under the umbrella of Zigly. When it comes to the items, Zigly’s shelves are stocked with well-known pet care productsthat have been in constant demand.Also, every member of Zigly crew is either a pet owner or a pet lover which helps us connect and understand the needs of our customers better.

 What are the innovations introduced by Zigly? 

Zigly experience center intends to build pet parenting effective and offer scalable solutions to deal with pets’ needs all under one roof. Hence, it is a one-stop solution everything associated with pet from health & nutrition, accessories, grooming and consultation. The Offline retail stores, www.zigly.com and The Zigly app together creates an ecosystem that ensures all pet care services at the pet owner’s fingertips is another curated innovation to ensure a seamless pet-care experience.

In order to offer the best possible care for your pets, we are constantly innovating, evolving our product offerings and are improving our products. We have a team of dedicated researchers who are always looking for new and better ways to care for pets. Additionally, we provide a wide range of customization options for our products, in order that pet owners can find the perfect solution for their needs.

 Being in the petcare industry, what are the initiatives being taken by the brand to provide care to all furry friends? 

Care is something that Zigly team members strive for in our daily activities. We are on a mission to provide the best pet care and build an ecosystem of care. Pets have been an integral part of our families now, making them the best of friends/companions. Besides our daily pet care services, Zigly’s initiatives are also directed towards the furry companions who lack home. 

On the occasion of friendship day, we joined hands with MARS Petcare to feed the stray dogs. We distributed free pet meals for stray dogs from the 5th - 7th of August across the Delhi NCR region to ensure good health and well-being for these furry voiceless human companions. Celebrating International Dog Day, we conducted a free anti- rabies vaccination drive across all our experience centers to ensure a safe & healthy environment for pets and pet owners. We recently celebrated Zigly’s first anniversary and took an initiative to distribute 1000 kilograms of food to unprivileged dogs. To ensure that we can reach out to a larger area, we planted volunteers from our team while leading NGOs of the national capital region supported the initiative.

Please share some marketing initiatives of Zigly. Also, how is Zigly integrating tech & commerce together? 

Zigly’s marketing initiatives are focused towards building a brand presence, but most importantly also provide a wow experience along with ever surprising offers to pets & pet owners. In this one year, we conducted several events at our experience centers for Halloween, Christmas and more. We organized Comipaws, an event where we invited pets and dressed them in their favourite comic attires. The events were one of a kind activity in Delhi NCR and we saw great traction for the events. Besides, we are also investing in influencer outreach by providing them an experiential in our centers, as they help us reach the local pet community to penetrate the market. 

Talking about technological interventions, Zigly app is made to further simplify things for our users so they may have a convenient, enjoyable experience. Through our Zigly at Home grooming services, we are promoting a variety of technologically enhanced physical service offerings. Zigly further offers mobile and video internet teleconsultations, and in emergency, one can easily seek online veterinarian consultations from certified medical professionals.To provide a wonderful experience for pets and pet parents, Zigly is expanding its availability and accessibility through technology

How do you associate Zigly with pets, and are there any plans to foray into new categories?

Zigly as a brand is new to the market and we are youthful yet mature, energetic, sharp, & out of the box; similar to the characteristics of our pet friends. Pets are always on a search to do something new and keep themselves and their surroundings happy. Our team at Zigly associates with this hunt for providing new & better experiences to build a better place for pets. This drives us to keep innovating for providing a premium pet care experience to our customers. We are currently present in the dog and cat categories where we offer products for multiple purposes from multiple brands. In terms of services, we offer vet consultation and pet grooming at our experience centers. Going ahead, we are also planning to expand our diagnostic services for pets. We believe that there is a great opportunity for growth in the new categories, as pet care is a relatively unexplored area and is still evolving. We are confident that we will be able to provide quality products and services even in the new categories we explore.
