BARC Wk 6 ratings: Another week of FTA dominance in R+U

BARC ratings for Week 6 of 2018 (February 3-9) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw most channels seeing gains in their gross viewership. The top 4 order among Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban remained unchanged this week, with Zee Anmol, Star Bharat and Sony Pal leading the list. 

Zee Anmol continued in the numero uno position in Week 6 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 767,706, a further increase from 761,293 recorded last week. Re-run of the hit show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, saw gains this week as it climbed up to the second spot with 11,779 (000) Impressions. 

Star Bharat, too, remained unchanged at No. 2 this week. The channel, too, saw an increase in its gross viewership – from 675,896 in Week 5 to 729,536 recorded this week. Two of its shows, ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ and ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’ saw traction this week. ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ climbed up a notch to the third spot with 10,407 (000) Impressions, while ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’ climbed up a notch to the fourth spot with 10,185 (000) Impressions. 

Placed at No. 3, Sony Pal, too, saw growth in its gross viewership to 639,246 this week from 614,401 recorded in Week 5. 

Colors, which had climbed up a notch to be placed at No. 4 last week, held on to this position in Week 6 as well. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 584,651, a decline from 590,900 recorded last week. 

Zee TV climbed up a notch to No. 5 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 571,228, a further increase from 563,925 recorded in Week 5. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ continued as the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 12,669 (000) Impressions. Meanwhile, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slipped to the fifth spot with 10,128 (000) Impressions. 

After climbing up a couple of notches in Week 4, Star Utsav further slipped a notch to No. 6 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 558,245, a decline from 569,949 garnered last week. 

On the other hand, Star Plus climbed up a notch to be placed in the seventh spot in Week 6. The channel reported a gross viewership of 449,901, an increase from 442,345 recorded last week. 

Rishtey slipped a notch to the eighth spot in Week 6, recording a gross viewership of 448,678, a further decline from 450,424 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television and Sony SAB continued in their respective positions of the previous week at No. 9 and No. 10. Sony Entertainment Television’s gross viewership was up at 435,196, compared to 427,665 recorded in Week 5. Meanwhile, Sony SAB garnered a gross viewership of 373,240, a decline from 413,632 recorded last week.
