David Lubars, an advertising luminary renowned for his visionary leadership as the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of BBDO Worldwide, has announced his retirement after an illustrious 20-year tenure. BBDO, in an official statement, lauded Lubars' unparalleled contributions to the agency's success and the advertising industry at large.

Lubars' distinguished career has been marked by groundbreaking campaigns that have resonated globally. His creative prowess propelled iconic initiatives such as "You’re Not You When You’re Hungry" for Snickers and the innovative HBO Voyeur project, solidifying BBDO's reputation as an industry trailblazer.

During his tenure, BBDO garnered unparalleled recognition, including being named "Network of the Year" at Cannes Lions a record seven times and earning the coveted title of Network of the Decade in 2020. Lubars' personal achievements are equally remarkable, boasting over 600 Cannes Lions, 700 One Show pencils, and seven Emmy awards.

Beyond accolades, Lubars' impact extends to mentoring and inspiring future generations of advertising professionals. His induction into The One Club Creative Hall of Fame and receipt of the Clios' Lifetime Achievement Award stand testament to his enduring legacy.

My knees are sore, so I’m ready to walk now. Anyone who has worked in advertising knows this is not a walking industry," he remarked.
