Former Kantar MD & Chief Strategy Officer Hemant Mehta passes away

Hemant Mehta, who began his career at IMRB in 1989 and took on various roles within IMRB/Kantar, has passed away. He was nominated by the late IMRB President, Ramesh Thadani, to lead the team responsible for developing an electronic PeopleMeter due to his expertise in media research and continuous measurement systems. He was selected to set up and oversee TAM Media Research, introducing the PeopleMeter-based TV audience measurement system. Upon his return to IMRB in 2000, he managed the Media & Panel division, played a key role in establishing specialized verticals like Retail & Shopper, and expanded Kantar's presence in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Mehta made significant contributions to IMRB and Kantar's growth, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and launching various strategic services and industry initiatives throughout his tenure.
