Josh, concluded the second edition of its first original IP World Famous

Josh, India’s fastest growing and most-engaged short video app, concluded the second edition of its first original IP ‘World Famous’, on a high note in Gujarat last evening. The 20-day multi-city mega talent hunt that was launched in the state earlier this month, has successfully wrapped up with a spectacular Grand Finale at the Shree Shakti Convention Centre, Ahmedabad with the discovery of around 400 new creators. Cheered on by their family, friends and celebrity mentors – actor Sonu Sood and renowned VJ Rannvijay Singha, the winners were hailed as the newest faces of Josh.

The campaign concluded after three extensive rounds of talent hunting, where the winners of the semi-finales held in Baroda, Surat and Ahmedabad came together at the Grand Finale and vied for the ultimate prize. The Grand Finale was an amplification of what was seen at the semi-finales as the finalists showcased their best performances across various fields like dance, music, comedy, stunt performances and acting amongst others. The top 15 performers were chosen to be inducted into Josh All Stars – India's first and largest formal creator training academy.

Congratulating all the participants, Seher Bedi, Head of Josh Studios said, “It has been a whirlwind month, but the fruits of labor couldn’t be any sweeter. Lucknow set the benchmark and Gujarat exceeded it. As we wrap up this edition of Josh ‘World Famous’ in Gujarat, we are filled with a sense of joy and accomplishment. Every participant here has the talent, passion and creativity, and we are so proud and grateful that we were able to give them a platform to share it with the world. This is what we kept in mind while building Josh – a platform for all to celebrate their talent and creativity as each talent deserves to be recognized and celebrated. That’s a commitment we will never deviate from.”

The Grand Finale reflected the platform’s dynamism and the finalists’ enthusiasm as the evening buzzed with exciting performances, colorful pop-ups, interesting creative corners, selfie booths and props set up throughout the convention center. Celebrity mentors Sonu Sood and Rannvijay Singha were also seen mentoring the participants and sharing lessons on content creation for the evolving short-video ecosystem in India.

Cheering on the finalists, celebrity mentor Sonu Sood said, “Each participant present here is extraordinarily talented. It brings me immense joy to see today’s youth involved so passionately in showcasing what they love the most. With a platform like Josh to support them, I hope they never stop following their passion. I would like to commend Josh for the efforts they have put in to support the rising stars of our country; for giving them this amazing platform and opportunity to express their creativity. Congratulations to team Josh on making this event a resounding success and I wish them all the very best in their journey ahead to make dreams come true.”

Speaking at the event, celebrity mentor Rannvijay Singha said, “I am really glad that I got an opportunity to witness the uniqueness and creativity of the finalists here. Each of them has given their best in delivering such beautiful performances. They are so talented, passionate and unique in their creativity, making them quite the fit to be future stars for the nation. I am thankful to Josh for having me here and letting me play a small role in this exciting journey. Josh’s vision and mission for giving the youth of this country a platform to showcase their talents is truly admirable. I would like to congratulate them for the success of the event and wish them all the very best in their quest to discover the next wave of stars for India.”
