Mahir Pandhi wears wool for 'Vanshaj' summer shoots for authenticity

Sony SAB’s Vanshaj is a show that delves into the fiery conflicts within the Mahajan household, primarily centered around inheritance disputes. At the heart of this familial turmoil stands Digvijay, known as DJ (Mahir Pandhi), who finds himself caught in a battle against Yuvika (Anjali Tatrari). Amidst the intense drama unfolding on-screen, behind the scenes, Pandhi found himself facing a different kind of heat.

In a recent shooting sequence, Mahir, clad in woollens, braved the scorching heat of Umbergaon to bring authenticity to his character's portrayal. Despite the blazing sun beating down, Mahir remained dedicated to his craft as he shot intense dramatic sequences at an outdoor location. This dedication not only showcases Pandhi's commitment to his character but also highlights the lengths actors go to capture the essence of their roles, even in the most challenging conditions.

Mahir Pandhi, playing the role of Digvijay in Vanshaj, said, “We are shooting for the show in Umbergaon which is on the outskirts of Gujarat. The weather here in Gujarat is extremely hot whereas as per our storyline, it is supposed to be a little cold since the Mahajan family is in Northern India. While shooting for some crucial scenes I had to wear a three-piece woollen suit with a vest, blazer and a woollen pant. As actors, we have to ensure that we bring out the authenticity in every scene that we do. We have been shooting outdoors in the heat for a few days. I will admit that it’s not easy dealing with such thick clothes in this heat and also looking good on screen at the same time. It’s a task but that’s part of an actor’s life and so, I am taking this challenge head on.”
