Affle inks a landmark deal with D2 Communications!

Affle, Asia's leading mobile media company and D2 Communications Inc, Japan's largest mobile advertising company, have entered into a strategic agreement to provide mobile advertising solutions to companies across Asia. D2 Communications is a subsidiary of NTT DOCOMO, INC. in joint venture with DENTSU INC.

This deal assumes great significance in the mobile advertising industry as the two companies are market leaders in their respective geographies. Affle dominates the mobile media and advertising space in several Asian markets including India, Indonesia and other APAC markets while D2 Communications is the market leader in Japan, the largest mobile advertising market in Asia. D2 Communications has also invested in Affle in order to deepen its relationship and establish a long term commitment to this partnership. This thus follows other top investments announced by Affle in the last few years from Microsoft & Itochu Corporation.

D2 Communications on the other hand is the largest mobile advertising agency of Japan with rights to sell all inventories on NTT DOCOMO, Japan's biggest mobile operator with over 57 million subscribers. D2 Communications also dominates selling inventories, on the most popular social networking and news sites and general portals in Japan like www.mixi.jp, www.gree.jp, Yahoo Mobile, Mobage-town (DeNA) among others. D2 Communications is in strong partnerships with major advertising agencies in Japan like DENTSU, HAKUHODO, ASATSU-DK, CyberAgent, OPT, SEPTENI among others.

As a part of the partnership Affle and D2 Communications will work on developing marketing solutions for brand owners, introduce innovations and share best practices to revolutionise mobile media globally. They would also explore future partnership opportunities through which Affle could launch its products in Japan and also replicate D2 Communication's successful mobile advertising model to other Asian markets like India, Indonesia, China and others.
