MOVIES NOW brings the big 'Wolf' to Indian Television

MOVIES NOW – India’s leading English movie channel, is all set to wow its viewers with the all-time gripping smash-hit, The Wolf of Wall Street – presented by Provogue Power Deos and co-presented by Arrow. The channel will exclusively telecast the Indian television premiere of the movie on Sunday April 26th 2015 at 1pm and 9pm on both MOVIES NOW and MOVIES NOW+

The Wolf of Wall Street is based on the life of Jordan Belfort – a young stock broker who makes a fortune with his intellect, guile and street-smartness. Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, takes the shortcut up the corporate ladder and lives his life like a dream - a dream of flamboyance, oomph and lots of money, which actually becomes his sweet reality. The movie is one of the raciest gripping tales of today, with the suspense of the FBI chasing Belfort to take down his empire of excess.

Speaking of this most awaited premiere, Vivek Srivastava, Business Head, English Entertainment Channels feels that “The wolf of wall street is one of those special new-age classics that carry on the lineage of cult movies. It shocked audiences worldwide with its intensity and we are all set to re-create that magic on the television screen.”

Anup Vishwanathan, Marketing Head, MOVIES NOW added, “We see this as a celebration of sorts… And we want TV audiences to enjoy watching it as much as we enjoy bringing it to them. I guess that explains the scale we have given to our edgy, much talked about creative campaign designed by Maniv Arcot and his team at Famous Innovations. The multi-city campaign has been well received by the trade and TV audiences across the country. Taking the celebration higher, we have announced a contest where brand new iPhone 6 mobile phones are up for grabs every hour during the screening.”

Directed by Martin Scorsese, The Wolf of Wall Street was nominated for several awards, including five nominations at the 86th Academy Awards ceremony, where the film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay), Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Leonardo DiCaprio won Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy at the 71st Golden Globe Awards, where the film was also nominated for Best Musical or Comedy Picture. It was also recognized by numerous other awards ceremonies, as well as guilds and critics' associations.

So get ready to party like a Wolf!
